Billie Eilish coming to Singapore in August for a concert

Billie Eilish fans, are you happier than ever now that the singer has just confirmed that she’s coming to Singapore?

The Grammy-winning artiste will perform at the Singapore National Stadium on Aug 21 as part of the Asian leg of her Happier Than Ever, The World Tour.

The 20-year-old shared in a tweet that she will perform in six cities across Asia, starting in Manila on Aug 13 and wrapping up in Tokyo on Aug 26. Fans can get early access to ticket sales by signing up for Eilish’s mailing list.

Tickets will be available through Live Nation. While there are exclusive pre-sales on Jun 24, 25 and 27, standard tickets will go on sale from Jun 28 onwards.

They’ll cost between S$130 and S$310, excluding booking fees, although a seating plan hasn’t been made available just yet.

Based on earlier concerts in her tour, which started in New Orleans in the United States this February, fans can look forward to the singer-songwriter performing a mix of newer songs from her 2021 album Happier Than Ever alongside older hits like Bad Guy, Bellyache and You Should See Me In A Crown.

Best known for her haunting vocals layered with music produced by her brother and fellow musician Finneas O’Connell, this tour marks Eilish’s first time performing to live audiences in Asia, and specifically, Singapore.

Her previous Where Do We Go? World Tour in 2020 saw its Asian leg, which would have gone from Seoul to Jakarta, cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eilish is the latest addition to a growing roster of artistes making their way to Singapore this year. This includes Irish band The Script, K-pop acts NCT 127 and Seventeen, and the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Green Day and Marshmello, who will perform at the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix.
