Hyundai’s H-1 makes its way to town

Hyundai's H-1 makes its way to town

For those planning a short trip outside of Yangon, utility vehicles are the most fashionable and dependable mode of transport, especially if you have a large family and a lot of luggage.

The Hyundai H-1 (Starex) is one of the best semi-knocked down vehicles on the market this year, manufactured by Shwe Daehan Motors in Myanmar. It is ideal for both long and short trips within the country.

Now available through International KLM, Hyundai’s sole official distributor, the H-1 is one of the most popular vehicles in Southeast Asia, having already sold over 10,000 units.

In comparison to other utility models, the H-1 is reasonably priced, especially given its reputation for dependability and quality.
Although YGN plates are not available for this model, H-1 models are on display and available for test drives throughout the country – in Mandalay, Mawlamying, Naypyitaw, Monywa, and Magway, as well as Yangon. Additionally, Hyundai spare parts are available at service dealer showrooms.

Interior & Exterior

On the outside, the H-1 features a dual automatic sliding door and folding mirrors, while the interior features leather seats, a full auto air-conditioning system, and an 8-inch touchscreen TV.

The exterior features a chrome-plated radiator grille, powerful LED rear adjustable and headlamps – which are optional on luxury models. Within the vehicle, an Android system enables you to sync your phone with the primary infotainment center.

Specifications of the Engine

The H-1 will travel 8.6 kilometers in the city, 13.3 kilometers on the highway, and 11.1 kilometers in total. Despite its impressive fuel efficiency, the 2021 model has more power and torque than competing models equipped with the 2.5 CRDi diesel engine, which produces 170ps/3,600 rpm and 45 KG.M/2,250 rpm of maximum torque.

Safety

The safety system, which includes dual front and side airbags, is designed to protect drivers and passengers in high-impact collisions. Additionally, it includes a safety block system and an electric chromic mirror that can be adjusted to reduce glare while driving. Auto light control, a rear collision warning camera, and an anti-lock braking system all assist with parking and slowing down in an emergency.
